Hybrid Work Essentials

In the modern workforce, a hybrid work environment is becoming increasingly more available. In fact, up to 83% of the current workforce prefers a hybrid work model in those instances where 100% remote work is unavailable. According to a Gallup poll on hybrid work environments, approximately 53% of all work environments will be hybrid going forward.

This means that both employees and employers have to find the tools that work best for both environments: remote work and corporate work.

Commuting Essentials

Whether you drive, walk, take a train or bus, or fly to work, you’ll need to carry some things. Namely a laptop, headphones, travel mug, reusable water bottle, meal prep containers, etc. Make sure you have an adequately sized and comfortable travel bag. Having the things you both need and like with you while you’re commuting to work will make the commute easier. Take advantage of a public transportation commute with quality headphones to listen to the morning or afternoon news to stay up to date on current events, listen to conferences, podcasts, music, or simply block out the noises around you.

Bring your homemade coffee to the office in a travel mug. That way, when it’s time to make another cup, you can help environmental efforts by reusing the same mug. The same is true for your reusable water bottle! Fill up from the office water cooler while you’re at work and before you head home to stay hydrated and healthy throughout the day.

If you’re looking to create or recreate your breakroom, look no further than Louisiana Office Products. We have everything you need from tables and seating to snacks and beverages.

The Space

A great breakroom can’t be beat. Oftentimes, it is a deciding factor for whether or not a potential employee chooses your company over another. There are a few things you can include to make sure your team knows how much you care about them.

Spacious Tables

Let your team spread out a bit while they eat their lunch. Having large enough tables for everyone to gather at can promote collaboration and communication among your staff. Not to mention, you can use these larger tables whenever you need to have an all-hands meeting.

Comfortable Seating

Everyone craves comfort on a break. Whether it’s a plush couch or even a massage chair, finding somewhere to relax on a lunch or coffee break is paramount. Bring size-inclusive, ergonomic seating to your breakroom and encourage your staff to “take a load off” for a few minutes during their day.

Wall of Fame

If you have enough wall space in your breakroom, consider including a Recognition Area or Awards Wall. Has someone exceeded their goals recently? Add their photo to the wall and proclaim their accomplishments. Maybe you do Office Awards every quarter. This wall would be a fantastic place to showcase everyone’s awards. Did your office win the local softball championship? Time to display the trophy proudly for all to see!

It’s no secret that the beverages in the breakroom are important. From the best coffees and teas to sodas, protein drinks, flavored waters and more, LAOP will help you ensure your favorites are always stocked.

The Beverages

It’s no secret that the beverages in the breakroom are important. From the best coffees and teas to sodas, protein drinks, flavored waters and more, LAOP will help you ensure your favorites are always stocked. There’s nothing worse than getting to the breakroom and seeing someone took the last can of seltzer. With recurring orders, you’ll never have to worry about running out.

The Snacks

And finally, the food. Snacks are necessary in an office. When the 2pm lull hits, you want to ensure that you have enough quality food items available for your employees to go through the rest of their workday with ease and a full belly. Most people don’t work well on an empty stomach. Here are a few great things to remember to include in your breakroom:

  1. Allergen Free Snacks
  2. Fresh Fruit and Vegetables
  3. Protein Bars
  4. Chips and Pretzels
  5. Candy
  6. Pastries
  7. Dips and Sauces

The Supplies

Don’t forget the utensils, napkins, stirrers, plates, and cleaning supplies! Make sure you have everything you need on hand for your company. Even if someone brings food from home, have plates and cutlery available to them. If you have a dishwasher, be sure to buy some detergent and run the machine every workday to ensure cleanliness and consistency.
